Kabaka Foundation Ghana, a non-profit charity organization founded by Nana Owiredu Wadie (I) Nkosuohene of Kwahu Nkwatia has employed Kofi-Boye Philip Tetteh, orphan Science student who obtained grade 7As and B in WASSCE as immediate step to take him off the streets as effort underway to secure admission and fully pay his fees at University.

Philip Tetteh’s immediate employment at Kabaka foundation will start as supervisor at site of ongoing construction of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the Eastern Regional hospital by the foundation.

He will be paid stipends every week, according to the Executive Director of the foundation,Dr.Henry Larbi.

Kofi-Boye Philip Tetteh, 19, lost his father whilst at Basic School at St.John Bosco R/C School in Koforidua, Eastern Regional capital.

He however passed the BECE and gained admission to pursue Science at St. Peters Senior High School in Kwahu Nkwatia in 2019.

Unfortunately, on August 23, 2022, five days before the commencement of the West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), Kofi-Boye Philip Tetteh lost her mother,a petty trader.

Kofi-Boye Philip, however, endured the painful sudden death of his mother Kofi -Boye Grace who was 44 years, wrote the WASSCE and  came out with flying colours with grade 7As with B in English Language.

Philip could not further his education to the University to pursue the Doctor of Pharmacy course he dreamt of due to financial challenges.

He therefore goes to the roadside where her late mother used to sell to beg her friends for some onions and tomatoes to sell to make a living and save some money for his education in future.

Nana Owiredu Wadie (I) who is board chairman of St. Peters Senior High School upon seeing the news on GHone TV, directed his Foundation to take immediate steps to employ Philip Tetteh to take him away from the streets, and make every effort to get admission for him, and fully pay his fees.

He directed for provision of some basic needs for Philip Tetteh to ameliorate his plight in interim as well.

In a telephone conversation with Philip Tetteh monitored by Starr News, Nana Owiredu Wadie (I) motivated him that, “don’t be demoralized by the struggles you are going through now. God has ways of blessing everyone. God knows best. We are going to employ you immediately, get admission for you and pay your fees to realize your dreams”.

Amid tears of Joy and loss for words, Philip Tetteh, reacted “God bless you abundantly, Nana. I’m very, very grateful”.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Education Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has been called upon to intervene to grant Philip Tetteh late admission to enable him further his education this academic year.
