The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has announced the reopening of the Outpatient Renal Dialysis Services effective immediately.
In a statement by the management of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, the reopening of the renal dialysis service has been made possible by the recent delivery of some quantity of the consumables, which were airlifted into the country yesterday.
“The Renal Dialysis Unit has therefore already scheduled patients to start their dialysis sessions tomorrow.”
“Apart from this emergency consignment, the Ministry of Finance has granted a tax waiver to expedite the clearance of the second container at the Tema port. We anticipate receiving these additional supplies within the week, further strengthening the availability of the essential consumables for our services.”
“The Hospital expresses its profound gratitude to the Ministries of Health, Finance, and other stakeholders for ensuring the timely availability of these consumables. We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to our renal patients for their patience and cooperation during this period.”
