President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Lyon to participate in the 2026 One Health Summit, where he is expected to play a leading role in high-level global health discussions.
The President touched down ahead of the summit and was warmly received by members of the Ghanaian community in Lyon, with families gathering to welcome him during the Easter Monday visit.

Mahama is in France to co-chair the summit alongside Emmanuel Macron, joining other world leaders, health ministers, and experts to examine critical issues affecting global health systems, food sustainability, and disease prevention.
During the summit, he is scheduled to deliver keynote addresses and contribute to discussions aimed at strengthening international cooperation on health security.

Following his engagements in Lyon, President Mahama will travel to Paris for bilateral talks with President Macron at the Élysée Palace, where both leaders are expected to discuss areas of mutual interest between Ghana and France.
