The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mr. Kurt Okraku, led the technical team of the Black Stars to meet with the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams, at his office.
The visit was aimed at formally introducing the technical team to the Minister and seeking his support as they prepare for the crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Mr. Okraku emphasized the importance of collaboration and expressed confidence in the team’s ability to guide Ghana to another World Cup appearance.

Mr. Kofi Adams welcomed the delegation and underscored the need for a collective effort to ensure the success of the national team. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the Black Stars, stating that his office operates an open-door policy.
The Minister encouraged the team to reach out whenever they needed assistance and urged them to work together towards securing Ghana’s qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
Present at the meeting were head coach Otto Addo, Technical Director Mr. Winfried Schäfer, and Assistant Coach Desmond Ofei.
With the World Cup qualifiers fast approaching, this meeting marks an important step in aligning the team’s vision with national support, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting campaign for Ghanaian football.
Meanwhile, coach Otto Addo is expected to name his squad in the coming days, with the team aiming to secure a vital victory to bolster their qualification prospects.
