The launch of Legacy Rise Sports took place over the weekend in a grand event that brought together some of Ghana’s most revered sports personalities, and a passionate audience, all in support of a new era in sports promotion and management in Ghana.

The event was nothing short of spectacular, as guests were treated to a thrilling evening of boxing bouts, featuring some of the country’s most promising young fighters such as Abu Kamoko vs Thomas Ayanatoya and Kevin Carter vs Samuel Lartey. Abu Kamoko and Kevin Carter are boxers under Legacy Rise Sports management demonstrating the company’s  commitment to nurturing and showcasing talents.

Among the distinguished attendees were Professor Azumah Nelson, Stephen Appiah, Anthony Baffoe, Fatau Dauda, Joseph Prince Agbeko among others, who expressed their excitement about the company’s mission to discover and develop local talent. Their presence underscored the importance of Legacy Rise Sports’ vision in the continued growth and development of Ghanaian sports.

In addition to the action-packed boxing matches, the audience was entertained by performances from Sherifa Gunu and Olivetheboy, who brought the house down with their electrifying acts. The fusion of sports and entertainment created an unforgettable atmosphere, setting the tone for what Legacy Rise Sports aims to achieve in the coming years.

A vision for the future

Speaking at the event, the CEO of Legacy Rise Sports, Mr. Sharaf Mahama, shared the company’s ambitious vision for the future. “At Legacy Rise Sports, we are driven by a vision to elevate sports to new heights while using it as a powerful tool for social change. Our mission is clear: to identify and nurture local talent, provide them with the opportunities they need to succeed, and promote Ghanaian sports and culture on the global stage.”

The company’s comprehensive approach to sports management and promotion includes not only identifying and nurturing talent but also providing sportsmen and women with the necessary tools and opportunities to succeed both on and off the field. Legacy Rise Sports is set to offer services ranging from talent management and promotion to securing high-profile opportunities and building sportsmen’s personal brands.

A call for support

Mr. Mahama called on individuals, organizations, and institutions to support the company’s activities. “To achieve our vision, we need the continued support of individuals, organizations, and institutions that share our commitment to youth empowerment, community development, and the promotion of sports. Your involvement, whether through partnerships, sponsorships, or simply spreading the word, is crucial to the success of our initiatives,” he stated.

For his remarkable contribution to the development of boxing in Ghana, Mr. Mahama was honoured with a boxing belt by the Ghana Boxing Association (GBA).

Looking ahead

With the successful launch event, Legacy Rise Sports has firmly established itself as a key player in the sports promotion and management landscape in Ghana. The company is now poised to embark on a series of initiatives aimed at empowering the next generation of Ghanaian sportsmen and women, promoting youth empowerment, and contributing to the overall development of sports in the country.

As Legacy Rise Sports begins its journey, the Ghanaian sports community and fans alike can look forward to a future where local talent is given the recognition and opportunities it deserves.
