President John Dramani Mahama and First Lady Lordina Mahama have sent warm greetings to Muslims across Ghana as the holy month of Ramadan begins.
In his message, President Mahama described Ramadan as a time of reflection, renewal, and community.
He prayed that as Muslims begin their fasts, their hearts would be purified, their faith strengthened, and that Allah, the Most Merciful, would grant them health, peace, and abundant blessings throughout the month.
“May your prayers be answered, your good deeds accepted, and may this Ramadan bring you closer to your Creator and to one another,” he said.
The President emphasized that the true spirit of Ramadan extends beyond fasting from food. “As you break your fast each evening with family and friends, remember that the beauty of Ramadan lies in the discipline, compassion, and generosity we show to all, especially those less fortunate,” he noted.
He urged Ghanaians to use the holy month to strengthen unity, love, and peace within communities and across the nation.
President Mahama and the First Lady concluded by wishing everyone a spiritually fulfilling and blessed Ramadan.
“Ramadan Mubarak! May Allah accept your worship,” he said.
