President John Dramani Mahama will on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, hold his first Presidential Media Encounter since beginning his second term in office.
The engagement, set for 8:00 p.m. at The Presidency, is expected to focus on updates regarding his Resetting Ghana Agenda, flagship policies, and ongoing projects.
It will also give journalists the opportunity to ask direct questions on issues of national importance, including governance, the economy, and recent constitutional developments.
A statement issued by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister for Government Communications and Presidential Spokesperson, emphasized that participation will be strictly by accreditation, noting that the Presidency anticipates “a productive and engaging session with the media.”
Since assuming office on January 7, 2025, President Mahama has rolled out key initiatives such as the No Fees Stress Policy and the 24-Hour Economy drive.
Analysts expect that the encounter will also touch on sensitive matters, including the removal of Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo, which has sparked national debate.
The media interaction is designed to reinforce accountability and give Ghanaians clarity on the direction of government as the administration approaches the first year of its second term.
