President John Dramani Mahama and his wife, Lordina, have departed Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for a three-day State Visit to Lusaka, Zambia.
They are scheduled to be welcomed at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport by President Hakainde Hichilema and his wife.
The visit underscores President Mahama’s commitment to his vision of “an Africa that is seamlessly connected through enhanced transport infrastructure, expanded trade links, and the free movement of people and goods.”
Earlier in Dubai at the World Governments Summit 2026, President Mahama highlighted Africa’s potential in shaping global alliances.
He said Africa welcomes global partners not merely to trade with, but to transform with through investments that builds industries, strengthens supply chains, and creates shared opportunity.
President Mahama added that Africa deserves a seat at the table in the reshaping of a new global order, emphasizing the need for strategic partnerships that support the continent’s growth.
During the Lusaka visit, President Mahama will engage with the Ghanaian community, hold bilateral talks with President Hichilema, and address the National Assembly of Zambia.
He is expected to outline Ghana’s vision for a more integrated and prosperous Africa, building on his recent calls for alliances that prioritize shared prosperity, industrialization, and the ethical use of Africa’s resources.
