Presidential Staffer, Nana Yaa Jantuah has criticised the minority in Parliament for walking out during the mid-year budget review, describing the action as an attempt to escape public scrutiny.
Speaking on The Verdict with Isaac Addae on Starr 103.5 FM on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, Nana Yaa Jantuah claimed that the minority’s walkout was not a protest, but a calculated move to avoid confronting their failures.
“Sometimes when you are disgraced, you behave as if you’re angry. I’m talking about the minority,” she said. “Why should they walk away? It’s because they know they’re nothing now, so you walk away to cover your disgrace and shame.”
She further argued that the real reason for the minority’s exit was to dodge the implications of the budget review.
“They know the thing that is going to come out of that budget is an indictment in their leadership and governance, so they didn’t want to sit down and listen. You see, when you sit down and listen to your failure, it’s painful,” she explained.

Jantuah added that deep down, members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are aware they have disappointed Ghanaians.
“I believe that in their quiet moments, they know that they have failed Ghanaians,” she stated.
