The Minority caucus in Parliament walked out of the House on Tuesday when deliberations over portions of the Local Government Act was underway.
The minority disagreed with a proposed amendment to the Act which will allow the new President to dismiss the 30 percent appointees to the various assemblies by former President John Mahama.
The minority contended the amendment was needless.
The Majority side of the House, nonetheless, went ahead and approved the amendment regardless of the protest by the minority.
Starr News understands the minority will later in the day organise a press conference to clarify their position on the issue and other matters arising in the House.
