The National Youth Authority (NYA) has been honoured with the 2025 National Youth Champion Award at the Head of State Award Scheme ceremony held at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
The award recognises the Authority’s exceptional commitment to advancing youth development at both the national and international levels.

The honour was received on behalf of the Authority by Alhaji Inusah Mahama, Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Operations and Programmes.

The Head of State Award Scheme, also known as the Duke of Edinburgh International Award, was established in 1967 to instil values of volunteering, patriotism, and discipline in young people, while empowering them to make a positive impact in their communities.
This year’s ceremony was held under the theme, “Equip, Empower, Excel: Building Brighter Futures Through Opportunities.”
At the same event, the Head of State Award Scheme Ghana honoured 336 young people with Gold Awards for 2025.
