Flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama has stated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government in 2025 will introduce a new budget that will adjust taxes to create incentives for businesses.

Delivering his 2024 New Year message at his residence in Tamale, the former President stated that the move is geared towards job creation for the Ghanaian youth and expanding businesses.

“National Democratic Congress has developed a comprehensive plan which will be shared with businesses, academia, civil society and the youth to create jobs and opportunities for all our young people. It will also encourage business ownership and entrepreneurship among them.

“In April 2025 the new NDC government shall introduce a new budget to support and build more businesses and adjust taxes that will serve as an incentive for job creation. At the heart of my vision for economic growth, Mr. Mahama stated.

President Mahama has been on a working visit to the Savanna Region after joining the Sanctuary of Wind and Fire Assemblies of God Church in Tamale for the 2023 watch night service.

While in Bole, Mr Mahama hosted a New Year get-together for the executives from all the 7 constituencies in the savanna region, the regional executives, MPs and parliamentary candidates.

Mr Mahama also met hosted all 1,035 branch executives from the Bole Constituency at two separate events in Bamboi and Bole.

The NDC leader also called on the Bolewura, the chief of Bamboi and also visited a number of opinion leaders and chiefs in both Bole and Tamale.
