Rashid Tanko-Computer has asserted that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) cannot win any election conducted in a free and fair manner in Ghana.
Speaking on Morning Starr with Naa Dedei Tettey, the NDC’s Deputy Director for IT and Elections said the party remains confident in its electoral strength under transparent conditions.
“The NDC doesn’t want to win elections in a crooked way. No, we want free and fair. Then we’ll beat them,” he declared.
He went further to argue that the opposition lacks public support.
“Because we know any free and fair election conducted, NPP will never come back to power. Ghanaians don’t like them, that party. They’re always rigging elections.”
Tanko-Computer cited what he described as irregularities even within the NPP’s internal processes.
“When they were doing their own internal election, one of them set up anti-rigging squad. Why was he setting up anti-rigging squad? Is it not because it’s their own internal party?”
He maintained that the NDC’s confidence stems from its governance philosophy and policies.
“We believe in free, fair, transparent election because Ghanaians like NDC because of our policies. The way we rule the country, the way we make the country look like a chief palace… Everybody go there. You can sit and listen to your gong gong beaters and everything. We are happy.”
Tanko-Computer concluded that the NDC will continue to closely monitor electoral processes to safeguard democracy.
