The New Patriotic Party (NPP) says it is heartbroken by the tragic military helicopter crash that killed eight people, including two cabinet ministers, on Wednesday, August 6.
In a statement issued and signed by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party extended its “deepest and most heartfelt condolences” to the bereaved families and described the incident as a “devastating blow” to the nation.
“Their passing is not only a devastating blow to their families but also a profound loss to the entire nation they worked to protect and build,” the statement said. “No words can truly capture the anguish of this moment.”
The party called for a “thorough, transparent, and swift investigation” into the cause of the crash, stating that “the dignity of the lives lost demands answers and accountability to ensure that such a tragedy never happens again.”
