Member of Parliament for Krowor Elizabeth Afoley Quaye has predicted over 90% victory in the primaries as she casts her vote at the Nungua Police station.
The MP who doubles as the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, is in the race with two others, Emmanuel Odai Laryea and Eric Adukwei Okine.
A total of over 700 delegates are voting in 12 polling centers within 12 electoral areas.
She told Daily Heritage’s Muntalla Inusah “everything is going on well. I thank the EC and the security services as well as the NPP for conducting itself in a good manner.”
She was confident that the NPP understands democracy and was prepared for the competition.
“The party understands democracy and competition so we have prepared ourselves and ready for the competition. We aren’t bias so we have allowed the masses to contest.”
“If we didn’t believe in democracy, as a minister of state no one would be allowed to contest me. Two people are contesting me and that’s the duty of democracy. That’s what we want,” she added.
Confident of her place in taking the NPP to the December polls, she noted “the delegates have spoken, we aren’t done voting and the delegates are celebrating over retaining me to take them to the polls in December.”
