Ghanaian musician and entrepreneur Sparqlyn has taken to social media to make an urgent call requesting support for legendary artist Okomfo Kwadee, born Jerry Anaba, following the circulation of a distressing video of the talented musician on social media on Monday, February 3, 2025.
In his plea shared on his social media pages, Sparqlyn called on the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), Kwadee’s fellow musicians, particularly those involved in Hiplife, the media, and other relevant stakeholders to rally together and provide assistance to the multiple hitmaker.
He emphasized the urgency of offering Kwadee help now before the worst happens.
Also, the “Your Body” crooner who doubles as the developmental chief of Odumase Krobo specifically urged notable Northern Ghanaian music talents, such as Samini, Sherifa Gunu, Wiyaala, Fancy Gadam, and Maccasio, to lead this charge in securing the necessary support for Kwadee.
Furthermore, Sparqlyn pleaded with individuals who have been filming and sharing videos of Kwadee in his current condition to stop immediately.
He stressed that such actions only harm the image of the talented musician during this difficult time, rather than helping him.
Sparqlyn’s call follows similar appeals from musician Captain Planet and media personality Dr. Pounds of Hitz FM, both of whom have highlighted the need for urgent intervention to support Kwadee.
