The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has officially declared former Finance Minister Kenneth Nana Yaw Ofori-Atta wanted in connection with multiple corruption-related charges.
The OSP issued a public notice seeking information on his whereabouts.
According to the notice, Ken Ofori-Atta is wanted for questioning regarding financial losses to the state through several transactions. These include the controversial National Cathedral project, the Ghana Revenue Authority’s (GRA) partnership with Strategic Mobilization Ghana Ltd., the termination of the ECG-BXC contract, ambulance procurement contracts, and tax refund account utilization.
The OSP has urged the public to provide any relevant information on his location, listing possible destinations as the United States and the United Kingdom.
Furthermore, citizens with information have been directed to contact the OSP through provided phone numbers or WhatsApp.
Ken Ofori-Atta, who served as Finance Minister from 2017 to 2023, has been a key figure in Ghana’s economic policies.
