Renowned Ghanaian musician Okyeame Kwame has teamed up with the Multichoice Group for the Earthshot Prize, a prestigious global environmental initiative aimed at fostering positive change. The multiple award-winning artist, known for his deep love of nature, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership and his commitment to environmental sustainability.
Okyeame Kwame shared his motivation behind the collaboration, stating, “I live because I breathe and breathe because of this tree.” He explained how trees absorb carbon dioxide and provide oxygen, emphasizing the essential role they play in sustaining life.

For the first time, the awards ceremony will be held on African soil, accompanied by a continent-wide roadshow. The tour will include stops in Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya, aiming to engage local communities, inspire environmental action, and showcase the exceptional work of African innovators.
