Black Stars coach Otto Addo has named his 23-man squad for the 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger with captain Andre Ayew conspicuously missing from the squad.
The 23-man squad includes Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Joseph Wallacott, Frederick Asare, Alidu Seidu, Tariq Lamptey, Alexander Djiku, Abdul Mumin, Mohammed Salisu, Jerome Opoku, Ebenezer Annan, Kingsley Schindler, Thomas Partey, Abu Francis, Elisha Owusu.
Inform West Ham Star Mohammed Kudus, who has been remarkable this season, has been called up by coach Otto Addo.
Striker Antoine Semenyo, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Joseph Painstil, Jordan Ayew, Inaki Williams, Ibrahim Osman, and Brandon Thomas-Asante have been named in the 26-man squad.
Ernest Nuamah misses out as he picked up a knock over the weekend when Lyon faced Monaco in the Ligue 1. Other omissions include Forson Amankwah, who picked a knock on Tuesday while on duty for Norwich against Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup. Osman Bukari also missed out on Joseph Paintsil returning to the team.
Ghana will kick off their AFCON qualifying campaign at home against Angola on September 5, followed by a trip to Morocco to face Niger on September 9.
