Pentecost Elder intensifies campaign to win assembly election

An Elder of the Church of Pentecost in the New Juaben South Municipality of the Eastern Region has intensified campaign in his bid to become Assembly Member for Sempoamiensa Electoral Area.

Elder Sampson Ahunu, 55,popularly known as “Operator ” has been campaigning vigorously in his rickety car affixed with public address system.

He has been criss-crossing the electoral area every evening calling on electorates to vote for him to champion the development of the area through unity, communal labour, and lobbying skills. He is intermittently ,heard preaching the gospel alongside campaigning .

Speaking to Starr News, Sampson Ahunu, said the ” Electoral Area hosts two major Hotels,Koforidua Technical University while population continue to increase due to people putting up new buildings every now and then but roads are bad,we don’t have Clinic,no Police station ,no Water to many homes ”

According to him, he is committed “to explore all opportunities available to ensure these challenges are addressed so they should vote for number three(3) on the ballot paper “.

Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission on Sunday mounted campaign Platform for the six Candidates contesting for the position of Assembly Member in the Electoral Area.

The Candidates are Dennis Asare, Boakye Nana Solomon, Sampson Ahunu, Agbodo Godsway and Alexander Opoku Twum(incumbent).

The Candidates outlined their visions for the Electoral Area given opportunity to the electorates who gathered there in their numbers to ask questions.

The District level election slated for December 17,2019.
