In its quest to promote oral hygiene among Ghanaians, Pepsodent, Ghana’s favourite oral care brand has joined millions of Ghanaians in the celebration of the country’s 62nd independence anniversary celebration with a fight against tooth decay.
Pepsodent engaged students, civil societies as well government agencies across all the regions in Ghana during the independence parade to raise awareness on good oral health habits such as brushing twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste like Pepsodent.
Commenting on Pepsodent’s participation, Category Manager for Oralcare, Patience O. Mpereh said: “As Ghana’s favourite oralcare brand, we join in the celebration of Ghana’s independence and we believe in a healthy nation. As a result, we deem it a duty to empower people to act on their oral health – throughout life – so they can enjoy a healthy, functional mouth from childhood into old age. Maintaining optimal oral health into old age ensures you live not only a longer life but also one free from the physical pain and often emotional suffering caused by oral disease.”
“We deployed our team across the nation with the simple aim of getting everyone to recognize the impact oral health has on overall health, and to help inspire a change in their oral care habits of our dear nation. The good news is thankfully, the simple act of brushing twice every day- day and night, can prevent many oral issues,” she said.
The Independence Day engagement is part of activities to mark this year’s World Oral Health Day scheduled for March 20, 2019.
