The second quarter play by Globe productions and its playwright Latif Abubakar is tilted Judas and Delilah 2, a second edition of Judas and Delilah and a continuation of the story.
Patrons who missed the first edition won’t be lost because there will be a live stage recap of it before the performance of the second edition. And for those who thought the first edition was interesting and comical, trust me, the second edition is better.
This is the 13th and one of the numerous plays by Globe Productions and it is playwright that focuses on social change.
The first edition focused on educating people on basic first Aid tips, told the story of a cheat of a watchman obsessed with a cheating nurse who is also obsessed with a medical doctor who stays aloof of the nurse’s obsession; all of them perfecting their tricks of betrayal. Who wins the war of traitors, Judas or Delilah? Unfortunately, the story didn’t end there and the answer was not known.
This necessitated the producing of another episode dubbed Judas and Delilah 2. This second edition seeks to educate patrons on HIV AIDS and tells the story of how a crook of a Doctor successfully spreads HIV/AIDS for 10years. One of the victims, Delilah plans a revenge on the Doctor. Jezebel appears to worsen issues at the hospital. Now who really has the AIDS virus? Delilah, Judas, Baba or Jezebel?
Some of the notable actors/actresses playing various roles in this edition are Ecow Smith-Asante, Solomon Fixon-Owoo, OB Black, Abraham McPratt, Bright Jefferson Djangmah and Shelter Say.
