A lorry fare disagreement in Tetegu, a suburb of the Ga South Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region, turned fatal after a policewoman allegedly shot a taxi driver.
Eyewitnesses reported that the dispute escalated quickly.
“I heard a gunshot twice in the car, and I suspected someone had been shot. I quickly asked my friend to approach the car with me, and we found the driver dead,” a bystander told GHOne’s Kwabena Agyekum Banahene.
The incident has stirred outrage among residents and raised questions about police conduct. Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Reports indicate that the policewoman attempted to flee the scene but was struck by a vehicle. She was promptly taken to the Police Hospital for treatment.
The Ga South Police Command has not yet confirmed the incident and urged the public to allow investigations to run their course.
