Rosemond Akuorkor Adjetey of GHOne TV (EIB Network) has been adjudged Best in Business and Economics Reporting at the 29th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards, which was held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Manhyia Palace.
The awards, celebrating excellence in Ghanaian journalism, saw Godwin Asedibe of TV3 crowned 2024 Journalist of the Year. This year’s competition received 321 entries and focused on the theme: “Safeguarding Ghana’s future: The role of the media in promoting peace, security and the fight against galamsey.”
For the first time, the ceremony was held outside Accra, in the Ashanti Region, under the high patronage of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. The event drew prominent dignitaries, including President John Dramani Mahama, Acting Chief Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, and Alex Apau Dadey, Executive Chairman of the KGL Group.
Rosemond Akuorkor Adjetey won the award for her reporting on “Armed Robbery vs. Momo Agents”, highlighting critical issues in Ghana’s financial and economic landscape. Her recognition is among several awards across news, features, documentaries, and specialised reporting categories.

Other notable winners included Ridwan Karim Dini‑Osman of EIB Network, who won Best in News Reporting (Radio) for Accra AIR Quality, and Severious Kale-Dery of Daily Graphic, who took Best in News Reporting (Print) for Poverty in the Midst of Wealth.
Television and radio programmes were celebrated as well, with Ekosiisen on Asempa TV winning Best Radio/TV Program in Ghanaian languages, and The Probe on Multimedia taking the English-language category. Citi FM and GTV were recognised as the Best English Radio and TV Stations respectively, while Peace FM and Adom TV topped the Akan/Twi categories.

The 29th GJA Awards highlighted the critical role of the media in Ghana’s development and governance, and showcased the talent and dedication of journalists across the country.
