The awards, celebrating excellence in Ghanaian journalism, saw Godwin Asedibe of TV3 crowned 2024 Journalist of the Year. This year’s competition received 321 entries and focused on the theme: “Safeguarding Ghana’s future: The role of the media in promoting peace, security and the fight against galamsey.”

The event drew prominent dignitaries, including President John Dramani Mahama, Acting Chief Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, and Alex Apau Dadey, Executive Chairman of the KGL Group.

Rosemond Akuorkor Adjetey won the award for her reporting on “Armed Robbery vs. Momo Agents”, highlighting critical issues in Ghana’s financial and economic landscape. Her recognition is among several awards across news, features, documentaries, and specialised reporting categories.
