The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has resumed the disbursement of second semester loans for the first time in four years, according to a statement by Dr. Saajida Shiraz, CEO of the fund.

In a Facebook post, Dr. Shiraz announced that loans have been disbursed to 19,703 tertiary students, with priority given to those in private tertiary institutions due to their more advanced academic calendar.

This move comes ahead of the official launch of the “No-Fees-Stress” initiative and reflects the SLTF’s renewed commitment to providing timely financial support.

“The days when the Trust Fund approved students for loans it couldn’t give is over,” Dr. Shiraz stated, highlighting ongoing reforms to ensure more efficient service delivery.
