Minister for Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams, paid a morale-boosting visit to the Black Stars camp on Saturday, encouraging the team to bounce back strongly from their recent setback against Chad.
Speaking to the players and technical staff, the Minister acknowledged the nation’s disappointment with Thursday’s 1-1 draw, but stressed his unwavering faith in the squad’s ability to deliver.
“I know what you’re capable of. There’s no better team than you. You have the talent, the passion, and the opportunity to turn this around,” he told the team, adding that his presence was not to criticise but to listen, understand, and support.

The players and technical bench welcomed the gesture, assuring him of renewed focus and determination ahead of Monday’s qualifier.
Head coach Otto Addo noted that lessons had been learned and highlighted the advantage of playing on a natural grass pitch in the next fixture. A senior player also voiced the team’s commitment, saying, “We know what went wrong, and we are determined to correct it. The win is coming.”
The visit underscores the Ministry’s dedication to supporting national teams not only with resources but also through encouragement during challenging moments.

With the Minister’s backing, the Black Stars have vowed to fight for redemption and keep Ghana’s World Cup qualification hopes firmly on track.
