In a compelling address at the launch of the second cohort of “Entrepreneurship with Bola Ray,” H.E. Edmond Moukala, UNESCO Representative to Ghana, made a passionate appeal for the diaspora to engage with and support the continent’s entrepreneurial revolution.

“There is a transformation happening in the continent, and I want to inform you that the Africa that you knew then is no longer the Africa that is now,” Moukala declared.

He called on the diaspora to play an active role in supporting initiatives like “Entrepreneurship with Bola Ray,” emphasizing the impact they can make. “You can join the entrepreneurship with Bola Ray by bringing in your contribution to change the lives of these young people,” he urged.

Moukala highlighted the critical role of entrepreneurship in driving social and economic progress. “Supporting this initiative will not only reinforce the social fabric of society but also contribute to economic development, fostering a culture of empowerment, inclusion, and collaboration,” he said.

He further underscored that entrepreneurship is a key to unlocking opportunities and addressing challenges with innovation and resilience.

The “Entrepreneurship with Bola Ray – Cohort 2” was launched over the weekend and aims to empower and support young innovators in their entrepreneurial journey. EwithBR is a leading platform for business education and mentorship, to empower young entrepreneurs across Ghana and the broader African continent.

Fifteen beneficiaries have been selected to benefit from the program, with 12 esteemed mentors from across the globe to serve as guides throughout the three-month program.

In a significant move to bolster youth entrepreneurship in Ghana, UNESCO partnered with ‘Entrepreneurship with Bola Ray’, to empower young entrepreneurs across Ghana and the broader African continent.

The collaboration is designed to foster innovation, provide practical business skills, and offer crucial mentorship to the next generation of business leaders.

UNESCO’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment for entrepreneurs was a central theme in Moukala’s speech. “Our objective is to ensure that young minds are equipped with the necessary tools and opportunities to prosper,” he explained. He emphasized the importance of creating an ecosystem that supports innovation and collaboration.

Moukala’s call to the diaspora was both a recognition of their potential impact and an invitation to be part of Africa’s entrepreneurial renaissance. “We must collaborate with government entities, educational institutions, private sector leaders, and civil society,” he stated. His speech reinforced the need for a collective effort to build a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem.
