The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the arrest of a key suspect linked to a string of high-profile residential robberies across Accra. The suspect, Adinda Akpo Abdou Moudjibou, also known as Mohamed Djandjo or Biya-Kigui, is believed to have operated in collaboration with another accomplice, Alidu Marzouk, who also goes by several aliases including Rashid Bawa, Maxwell, Papa Rich, and Dawa.
According to the police, the two are suspected to be behind a series of coordinated robberies between 2022 and 2024, targeting elite residential areas such as East Legon, Cantonments, Ridge, Tesano, Airport Residential Area, and Adjiriganor.
CCTV footage of Moudjibou’s criminal activities has been widely circulated on social media, helping investigators track his movements. The Adabraka District Court issued a warrant for his arrest on September 5, 2024, after which he was placed on INTERPOL’s Red Notice list.
Investigations further revealed that the suspect held both Ghanaian and Togolese identification documents, underscoring the cross-border nature of his criminal activities. Authorities are currently intensifying efforts to arrest the second suspect, who remains at large.
A statement from the Ghana Police Service emphasized their commitment to national security: “We remain committed to ensuring the safety and security of all persons in the country. And to all suspects at large, know that we are coming for you, and surely, we will get you arrested to face the law,” the statement said.
The police also highlighted the importance of regional collaboration in the arrest of the suspect, thanking the Togo National Police Force, INTERPOL Lomé, and the Ghana Embassy in Togo for their critical support in the operation.
“This success once again highlights the importance of regional cooperation in tackling transnational crime and bringing offenders to justice,” the statement added.
The manhunt for the remaining suspect continues.
