The governing New Patriotic Party in Takoradi has suspended it constituency secretary Kingsley Oduro Acheampong indefinitely.
This was contained in an internal memo sighted by Empire News dated September 16th 2019 and signed by Constituency Chairman Prince Kojo Arthur.
Even though the memo did not give much detail about why Mr. Oduro Acheampong has been suspended indefinitely, it is alleged that the embattled constituency secretary criticised the party on radio for organising primaries for aspirants who want to contest as assembly members for the upcoming district level assembly elections.
A source within the NPP revealed to Empire News the party feels betrayed by the comment of the embattled constituency secretary.
When contacted by Empire News, the constituency Chairman, Prince Kojo Arthur declined comment on the matter saying it is an internal issue.
The matter has been referred to the disciplinary committee of the party.
