Ghana’s own rising sports broadcaster, Victor Kwawu, has been selected to lead the Confederation of African Football (CAF) commentary team for the 2025 African Schools Football Championship Finals, set to take place in Accra from April 21 to 26.
The week-long tournament not only showcases young football talent across the continent but also focuses on capacity building, mentorship, and training programs aimed at empowering football administrators, aspiring professionals, and youth across Africa.
Kwawu will be joined in the commentary box by a star-studded lineup of African football icons, promising fans a dynamic and insightful broadcast experience. The matches will be aired globally on SuperSport, CAF’s YouTube channel, GTV, Max TV, and other platforms.

CAF has also appointed several African football legends including Abedi Pele, Clementine Toure, Robert Kidiaba, Asamoah Gyan, Adjoa Bayor, Dlamini, and Kareem Haggui to contribute to the Schools Championship initiative both on and off the field.
However, a resume that includes coverage of the African Games, the BabyJet U-16 African Championship, and Ghana’s Premier League, Victor Kwawu brings a wealth of experience and passion to the role.
His selection marks a proud moment for Ghana and the West African region, which is hosting the finals for the very first time.
