The much-anticipated visuals of rising Ghanaian afrobeats singer Darkovibes’s recently released single ‘Inna Song (Gin & Lime)’ which he featured singer and songwriter King Promise is finally out.
The video was directed by highly acclaimed Yaw Skyface.
Darko Vibes has garnered regional success with hit singles like ‘Tomorrow’ and ‘Stay Woke’ and has been an integral player in the growing success of hiphop group La Même Gang, a collective of budding superstars based in Ghana.
As the musical landscape in Ghana continues to shift, there are few standouts like Darkovibes who are poised to take over for the next generation.
Most recently, The FADER recognized him as “revolutionizing the way we see life in Ghana, helping to bridge the representation gap between Africa and the rest of the world” with Notion Magazine citing him as “the muse for this progression.”
As he prepares to release his debut solo album ‘Kpanlogo’ next month, Darkovibes is fusing his tried-and-tested sound with experimental approaches that will continue to push the envelope of Afrobeats music.
‘Kpanlogo’ is due for release Friday, April 3 and features the likes of Wizkid, Mr. Eazi, Kwesi Arthur, and Joey B.
