Westside Queens Association has donated to Remar Ghana Orphanage as part of its anniversary celebration.
The Remar Ghana Boys Orphanage with 38 boys with only 4 caretakers located at Kejabril on the outskirts of Apowa in the Western Region have been in dire need of assistance.
It was therefore with great relief that as part of celebrating their first year anniversary of inception, the Westside Queens Association, a social club of 20 ladies residing in and outside Ghana who hail from the Western Region decided to donate some consumables to them.
In receiving the donation, the Director of the orphanage, Azumah Barnabas appealed for more assistance.
“We lack a fence wall hence the safety of the children cannot be guaranteed and appealing to well-meaning persons to come to our aid. We also lack frequent pipe borne water so we buy water at commercial cost from tankers,” he surmised.
The Organizer of West Side Queens, Millicent Andze Quainoo said the reason for choosing Remar Orphanage was divine.
“We Westside Queens are visiting this orphanage to undertake a donation for the first time and it is in fulfillment of the will of God. We had chosen a different orphanage entirely for this donation and it was at the eleventh hour that we decided to come to the Remar Orphanage at Kejabril,” she revealed.
Consumables like bags of rice, spaghetti, tinned tomatoes and detergents as well as some used clothes were presented to the orphanage.
James Chapter 1 verse 27 of the New International Version says Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
