Zoomlion Ghana Limited has strongly denied claims linking the company to landguard activities. This follows a publication in the Daily Guide newspaper alleging that some Turkish investors had their properties destroyed by individuals described as “Zoomlion Landguards.”
The publication, which appeared in the Monday, April 7, 2025 edition of the newspaper, has sparked concern and criticism, but Zoomlion says the report is entirely without merit.
In a statement issued by its management, the waste management company said it does not engage, employ, or contract landguards in any form.
“Zoomlion Ghana Limited does not employ, contract, or engage the services of landguards, nor is it involved in any unlawful or outlawed activities. The company operates in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana and remains committed to ethical business practices.”
The management further noted that Zoomlion has over the years partnered with several credible foreign entities and stressed that it is unjustifiable for anyone to associate the company with acts of violence or destruction.
“As a private entity that firmly believes in development through collaboration, and having had the privilege of working with several reputable foreign firms, it is both misleading and unfair to associate our company with such allegations,” it stated.
Zoomlion also advised persons with grievances to pursue legal channels for redress.
“We unequivocally deny these allegations. We further advise that any grievances or concerns be addressed through the appropriate legal channels, in accordance with the rule of law.”
The company reiterated its status as a responsible corporate body that upholds high standards of integrity, professionalism, and accountability. It also expressed its support for the judiciary in resolving disputes and reaffirmed its commitment to lawful and sustainable development.
