American Pinkberry Store has opened its store in Ghana – the first in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Pinkberry is a famous frozen yogurt brand originated in Los Angeles, California, known for its fresh, pure and supremely tasty frozen yogurt and variety of toppings.

Pinkberry is in Ghana in partnership with Golden Peak Investment Capital. The move was facilitated by Kobbina Awuah after he acquired the franchise for Ghana.

Speaking at the launch of the Pinkberry shop at Labone, the CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Center, Yoofi Grant said the development must attract other American companies to Ghana.

The newest Pinkberry location in Accra, Cantonments marks the arrival of the first Pinkberry store in Ghana. Pinkberry second location will also be opening later this year at the Kumasi City Mall.

“We are excited to arrive in Ghana,” said Aaron Serruya, President and CEO of Pinkberry International. “We are happy to serve and become a local favorite of the sophisticated community in Ghana in partnership with Golden Peak Investment Capital, who share our values and commitments on exceeding customer expectations day in and day out.”

“We are extremely excited to introduce a leading U.S. brand like Pinkberry to Ghanaians and looking forward to revolutionizing the way Ghanaians think about treats,” commented Kobbina Awuah, Managing Partner of GPIC. “Ghana being the entry point in Sub-Saharan Africa for Pinkberry, signals the country’s strong fundamentals and attractive demographics.”

“Pinkberry is committed to uncompromising quality. Our premium frozen yogurt is made fresh daily with only the highest quality ingredients including nonfat milk and low fat yogurt to deliver the perfect balance of tart and sweet, resulting in a refreshing, light and craveable taste with a clean finish,” he added.

The Accra and Kumasi location will be serving Pinkberry’s six distinctive flavors: the signature Original flavor, a sweet and tart yogurt with a refreshing finish; Raspberry, crisp and refreshing tart burst from the crown jewel of all fruits; Strawberry Banana, a perfect combination of tart strawberry flavor with smooth creamy banana; Pina Colada, sweet and refreshing taste of coconut and pineapple that takes you to a tropical paradise; Chocolate Hazelnut, a creamy, delightful chocolate with a hint of sweet hazelnut; and Cookies & Cream, a creamy and sweet chocolaty yogurt with tiny bits of cookie pieces and a touch of vanilla that will make you crave for more.

Customers can personalize every yogurt experience at Pinkberry with any combination of delicious toppings. At Pinkberry, uncompromising quality is paramount and the toppings bar is no exception. Each topping is selected with the highest quality standards, whether it’s fresh fruit that is hand-cut daily in-store, wholesome granola, gourmet baked goods and cookies, toasted nuts, organic blue agave liquid topping, or premium milk chocolate crunch imported from Italy to name a few.

With a passion to help people discover new ways to enjoy yogurt in their daily routines, Pinkberry assists every customer in pairing yogurt with the perfect toppings, creating delicious parfaits to kick start your day or blending them into smoothies to enjoy on-the-go, a more fun way to enjoy Pinkberry with PinkberryPop, or serving it on a bubble waffle (a spherical egg-based waffle) delivering an experience like no other. Pinkberry’s passion for yogurt delivers distinctive yogurt taste served with gratitude in an inspiring store design to create a one-of-a-kind experience that delights you on every visit.
