Ghanaian dancehall artiste Larruso has revealed that his former manager blocked an opportunity for him to sign with Babs, the manager of Senegalese-American music star Akon, about four years ago.
Speaking on Starr Drive with Kojo Manuel and Amishiaka, the ‘Killy Killy‘ hitmaker said Babs had expressed interest in signing him, but the deal fell through because of his then-manager’s decision.
According to him, he was not given a clear explanation for why the opportunity was turned down.
When asked whether the failed deal contributed to his eventual separation from his former management team, the artiste declined to go into detail about the circumstances.
Despite the missed opportunity, Larruso disclosed that he still has some contact with Babs, although they have not spoken in a while.
He described their interactions as inspiring, saying the music executive encourages him whenever they speak.
Larruso did not indicate whether there are plans to revisit the proposed deal or pursue a professional relationship with Babs.
