The Ashanti regional Police Command has finally confirmed the kidnap of two Canadians, aged, 19 and 20 in Ahodwo in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital.
Starrfm.com.gh on Wednesday reported the kidnap of the two foreigners by unknown assailants in Kumasi.
The unidentified gang reportedly stopped and bundled the two at gunpoint at about 8:30 P.M. at Ahodwo, Kumasi Royal Gulf Club at 8:25 pm on June 4.
One of the victims has only been identified as Lauren and is in Ghana with her other colleague on an exchange programme with the Entrepreneurship Department of the Kumasi Technical University (KsTU).
According to Police, investigations to track and rescue the girls started immediately the information got to them.
