Organised Labour has threatened a strike action over government’s failure to remove Pension Funds from the Debt Restructuring Program.
A copy of a memo issued by Organised Labour to Public Sector Workers said until government announces publicly that Pension Funds are exempted from the Debt Restructuring Program, they will go on strike by December 27, 2022.
“From now until the strike begins, all workers should wear red attire and bands to office as a message to Government and all employers that our Pension Funds be exempted from the program,” the memo indicated.
It further urged that all PSWU organisations are to participate fully in these measures to protect their Pensions against the Debt program by government.
