Owusu-Ekuful, Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West and the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate has dismissed allegations that food was distributed by her team to party agents on election day, which was reportedly rejected by constituents.
The controversy erupted at the Assemblies of God polling station in the Ablekuma West Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, where claims surfaced that breakfast, allegedly provided by Owusu-Ekuful, was refused by voters.
In response, the MP described the allegations as “reckless and unfounded,” firmly stating that the incident never occurred. She labeled the reports as fabrications designed to mislead the public and tarnish her reputation.
The MP reaffirmed her dedication to the welfare of her constituents, emphasising that any logistical support her team provided on election day was positively received.
She further condemned the publication as a “malicious attempt” to create division and undermine the trust and unity she has worked to build with her constituents over the years.

Over the years, I have served this constituency with integrity and a deep respect for its people, prioritizing their welfare above all else. My team is focused on ensuring a smooth and peaceful electoral process, and any logistical support provided was well-received by all involved,” she stated in a press release.
It added, “This baseless narrative is devoid of any factual merit and reflects a complete failure on the part of the platform to adhere to basic journalistic ethics of fact-checking and accuracy.”
