The National President of the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG), Samuel Afotey Otu, has expressed profound gratitude to members of the Association following his re-election at the 2nd Quadrennial Delegates Conference in Tamale.

In a victory message issued after the declaration of results, Mr. Afotey Otu said he received the renewed mandate with humility and gratitude, thanking God for a peaceful and successful election.

“First and foremost, I thank the Almighty God for granting us a peaceful and successful election. I sincerely appreciate every delegate who participated in this process and, especially, all those who reposed their trust and confidence in me,” he stated.

Mr. Afotey Otu, who was first elected in Ho four years ago, said he does not take the massive endorsement for granted, describing the new mandate not as a reward but as a greater responsibility.

He thanked both members who voted for him and his team, as well as those who supported other candidates, stressing that the Association must now unite.

“To those who voted for my team and I, thank you for believing in us once again. To those who supported other candidates, I equally thank you for participating in our democratic process. From today, there are no winners or losers. There is only one JUSAG, and we are one family,” he said.

The JUSAG President pledged to lead with humility, transparency, fairness, courage and an open-door policy, and to work with the National Executive Council (NEC), regional and local executives to improve conditions of service, welfare and professional development of members.

He welcomed new executives to what he described as the “Transformative Bus” and extended an invitation to unsuccessful candidates to join hands in building a stronger Association.

He also commended the Electoral Committee, delegates, observers, his campaign team, family and supporters for their roles in ensuring a successful conference.

Mr. Afotey Otu declared that with the campaigns and elections over, it was time to focus on the real work ahead.

“The campaign is over. The elections are over. Now, the real work begins. Let us put our differences behind us and unite for the common good of JUSAG,” he urged.

He concluded by thanking members for their trust and confidence, praying for the growth of the Association and the Judicial Service.
