Member of Parliament for the Bawku Central and a representative to the ECOWAS Parliament, Mahama Ayariga has been appointed as the Majority Leader and Leader of Government Business in Ghana’s 9th Parliament.
He announced this today following his selection by H.E John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) caucus of 187 MPs.
In a statement, Ayariga expressed his gratitude to President Mahama, the NDC leadership, and his colleagues in Parliament for their confidence in him.
He also acknowledged the leadership of previous Majority Leaders, including Speaker Alban Bagbin, Cletus Avoka, Benjamin Kunbuor, Haruna Iddrisu, and Cassiel Ato Forson, whose guidance he will continue to draw upon.
