The Office of the President has directed all heads of government institutions to submit comprehensive payroll information as part of efforts to ensure accuracy and integrity in government payroll systems.
In a letter dated January 15, 2025, signed by Julius Debrah, the Chief of Staff underscores the administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability.
“In line with ongoing efforts to ensure the accuracy and integrity of government payroll records under the John Mahama administration, I am writing to request your assistance in providing information on staff who have been added to your institution’s payroll since Saturday, January 7, 2024,” the letter stated.
The directive specifically requests information on staff added to the payroll within the specified period.
These Institutions are required to provide the following details for each staff member: full name, designation or job title, employee identification number (if applicable), date of appointment, and the date they were added to the payroll.
Heads of institutions have been given a deadline of January 31, 2025, to submit the requested data to the Chief of Staff’s office.
“This information is critical to maintaining transparency and accountability in our payroll management processes,” the letter added, emphasizing the importance of the exercise.
