Dionne Slash Gavin, a leading voice in Ghana’s fashion and entertainment scene, has been named among the Top 25 Ghana Fashion Industry Power List 2024, in recognition of his transformative contributions to the modelling and fashion ecosystem in Ghana and beyond.

As the CEO of DSG Model Management, Gavin has become a driving force in nurturing and spotlighting African talent. With over a decade of experience, he wears many hats,model manager, fashion show producer, travel journalist, pageant coach, and event choreographer, bringing a unique blend of creativity, leadership, and global exposure to the fashion world.
Gavin’s portfolio is as global as it is impressive. He has produced, choreographed, and coordinated high-profile fashion events across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
Notable among them are Runway Dubai, Accra Fashion Week, Fashion Connect, São Tomé Fashion Week, Festival International de la Mode (FIMO228) in Togo, Fashion Trends in Denmark, AFRIFATA in Morocco, La Nuit du Textile in Mali, Folie de Mode and Bobo Fashion Week in Burkina Faso, and the Carousel International de la Mode in Congo.
His work has been featured in publications such as Runway Dubai’s 10 Years Magazine, reinforcing his reputation as a key influencer shaping Africa’s fashion narrative on the world stage.
Through DSG Model Management, Gavin has developed a wide network of models who have walked for renowned fashion houses and brands across multiple continents. He is also celebrated for his work in pageantry, having choreographed and produced shows like Miss International, Miss Glam World, Miss Ghana, Miss Excel Plus, Face of GIJ, Face of Zenith, and Face of MUCG. As a national director for several major pageants, he continues to amplify Ghanaian talent on global platforms.
Speaking on the state of the industry, Dionne Slash Gavin emphasized the importance of fostering a more inclusive and supportive fashion ecosystem in Ghana and across the continent.
“To truly grow, the industry must support and uplift every contributor, be it designers, models, stylists, or behind-the-scenes creatives. That’s how we build a more equitable space for all,” Gavin stated.
