Vericaps Seyram Gadri, Deputy Communications Officer for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has submitted his nomination forms to contest the position of Deputy Regional Communications Officer for the Greater Accra Region.
Mr Gadri submitted his forms on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at about 11:45 a.m., officially joining other contenders seeking to occupy the position.
He is currently a member of the NDC’s National Communications Bureau and has held various positions within the party over the years.
Mr Gadri began his political involvement at the University of Ghana, where he served as President of Jubilee Hall and later as Deputy Communications Officer of the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN).
He also served as Branch Chairman within the Legon Electoral Area before rising through the party’s structures to become a member of the Greater Accra Regional Communications team and subsequently a member of the National Communications Bureau.
He is also completing a four-year tenure on the NDC’s Energy Committee, chaired by the Minister for Energy.
At the constituency level, Mr Gadri currently serves as Deputy Communications Officer for Ayawaso West Wuogon, where he played roles in the party’s campaign that resulted in its historic victory in the constituency after two decades.
He said his experience across various levels of the party had equipped him with practical knowledge in communications, organisation and political mobilisation, positioning him to take on greater responsibility within the Greater Accra Regional communications structure.
If elected, Mr Gadri said he would build on the work of previous officeholders while bringing renewed energy, strategic communication, teamwork and commitment to the role.
His academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Ghana, a Master of Science in Energy and Sustainable Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), an ongoing MSc in Facilities Management at KNUST, and a Master of Arts in Political Communications from the University of Media, Arts and Communication–Institute of Journalism (UniMAC-IJ), formerly the Ghana Institute of Journalism.
Mr Gadri said he was confident that his combination of academic training, political experience and communications expertise would enable him to contribute to strengthening the NDC’s visibility, messaging and mobilisation ahead of the 2028 general elections.
He is seeking the support of delegates as the party prepares for the election of its regional communications officers.
