President John Dramani Mahama has unveiled plans to transform selected nursing and midwifery training colleges into degree-awarding institutions, as part of a broader agenda to modernize Ghana’s tertiary education and healthcare systems.
The announcement was made during his “Thank You” tour of the Ahafo Region on Saturday, May 31, where he reiterated his commitment to improving access to quality education, particularly in underserved areas of the country.
Emphasizing the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) vision, President Mahama also revealed plans to establish a new university in the Ahafo Region, with a focus on agriculture, natural resources, and health sciences.
