Zoomlion Waste Management Company has said it will distribute one million free bins to households across the country this year.
The company is seeking to improve on the 200,000 bins distributed in 2010.
The initiative is in line with the company’s commitment to rid cities of waste. The Company has set up a plastic waste recycle plant to manufacture the bins locally.
Executive Chairman of the Zoomlion Group, Joseph Siaw Agyepong, said a plant has been set up to manufacture the bins locally.
“In 2017, we are distributing one million bins free to Ghanaians and we have set up a plant that is manufacturing the bins locally to build capacity and look at all the gaps and fill it….We want to pledge our support and commitment to Ghanaians that we will never disappoint them and let them feel the impact of having a good sanitation company”.
