Communities in Teshie, Nungua, Baatsona, Spintex, Sakumono, and surrounding areas have been grappling with a severe water shortage since December 2025, with no immediate relief in sight.
Residents report that taps have remained dry for weeks, forcing many households to rely on sachet water for essential needs such as cooking, bathing, and drinking.
The prolonged shortage is not only disrupting daily life but also raising serious concerns about hygiene and public health.
Local residents and community leaders are calling on the Ghana Water Company Limited and other relevant authorities to intervene urgently and implement a sustainable solution to the worsening water crisis.
