A pedestrian lost his life on Monday morning after being hit by a private Ford vehicle at Kumasi South Junction, New North Suntreso.
The vehicle, bearing registration number 2821-15, reportedly struck the victim in the early hours of March 2.
The deceased, whose identity is yet to be confirmed, is believed to have been traveling from the North Suntreso area at the time of the accident.
Eyewitnesses said the driver stopped upon realizing the victim had died, parked the vehicle, and subsequently reported the incident to the North Suntreso District Police Command.
As of this report, the body remains at the scene, awaiting conveyance to the morgue by police for preservation and further investigation.
Authorities are expected to launch inquiries to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic accident.
