Information reaching Starrfm.com.gh is that former Inspector General of Police (IGP), Paul Tawiah Quaye, has passed away.
He is said to have died yesterday, April 22, 2026 at the age of 73 years.
Sources close to the family confirmed that Mr. Quaye has not been well for some time now, hence his disappearance from the public eye.
The late Paul Tawiah Quaye was born on 6 May 1953.
He was appointed as the IGP of the Ghana Police Service by the late President Atta Mills.
He acted as the head of the Police Service from 16 May 2009 to 5 February 2013.
The family is expected to announce burial and funeral arrangements soon.
