The Local Organizing Committee of the maiden Damba Marathon paid an official courtesy visit to the Gbewa Palace to formally brief the palace on the upcoming Damba Marathon 2026 formally.
The delegation was first received by Naa Yaba Kuga Naa, who graciously led the team to the palace for the official presentation. During the visit, the team presented the event brochure and the branded campaign shirt of Damba Marathon to Naa Yaba Kuga Naa and Yaa Naa Dugu on behalf of the Yaa Naa.
The visit marks a significant milestone toward the successful organization of the event, as Damba Marathon continues to build strong traditional and institutional support ahead of its official launch in the coming weeks.
The marathon is set to take place in Tamale, the Northern Regional capital, and will make history as the first-ever marathon in the northern part of Ghana. The event promises to be a unique celebration of sports, culture, and heritage, showcasing the rich traditions of the north on a global stage.
