As the National Democratic Congress (NDC) prepares for its internal elections ahead of the 2028 general elections, incumbent Western Regional Communications Officer Richard Ernest Kirk-Mensah is appealing to party members to re-elect him.
Mr Kirk-Mensah is highlighting his experience, commitment and leadership credentials as he seeks to retain his position and continue serving the party in the Western Region.
He points to the NDC’s performance in the 2024 general elections, when the party won 15 of the region’s 17 parliamentary seats and secured a decisive victory for its presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, as evidence of the collective efforts that contributed to the party’s electoral success.
His campaign is anchored on three key principles: integrity, grassroots engagement and passion, which he believes reflect his commitment to the party and his years of service.
Beyond his political experience, Mr Kirk-Mensah brings professional expertise in communication and public service. He served with the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) in the Western Region from 2013 to 2025 before his appointment as Head of Communications at the Ghana National Gas Company.
He holds master’s degrees in Oil and Gas Management and Crisis, Emergency and Disaster Management from the University of Cape Coast and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Strategic Public Relations at the University of Media, Arts and Communication.
Mr Kirk-Mensah is seeking a renewed mandate to build on his experience and strengthen the NDC’s communication efforts in the Western Region as the party prepares for the next electoral cycle.
